Pittsburg March 15 Sensational testimony at the coroner's inquest into the Eliza furnace explosion that killed fourteen at Jones & Laughlin Steel. Superintendent Hessler said the 600 ton capacity furnace often ran as high as 100 tons. Assistant Superintendent Kilday cited pressure at 21 pounds just before the blast, 4 pounds above the safe mark.
