City council to consider a deed from Devar Valley Development and J B Allen for land along the Cedar River westerly bank between Sixteenth and Seventeenth streets 100 feet wide to Easton avenue extended. Ground intended for a boulevard with restrictions on railways factories and franchises. Also discussed is a park strip east of the mill race totaling about 33 acres to be purchased for park purposes. A riverfront street between Fifth and Bridge streets is proposed, requiring a retaining wall and possible removal of the mill engine and boiler. Citizens along the proposed street show willingness to share costs.
