London July 26 Sydney Talbot a 9 year old American marine engineer noted in yesterday’s dispatches. At a charitable fete for the aged poor in Buckinghamshire prizes went to men aged 88 and 86 in flat races. A 92 year old woman competed but lost to a younger challenger.

Judge Wins Region Muskellunge Championship In Wisconsin
In Haywood Wisconsin July 26 Judge W F Bailey of Eau Claire bested the muskellunge of Sand Lake weighing sixty seven and a half pounds to win regional club honors for the Kingfishers. The fight began when the muskie struck while he troll ed and the boat overturned. Bailey at 65 fought on aided by C W Wilson who pulled him to safety as the fish leapt. The beast bore two hooks in its jaw from earlier battles and Bailey later provided dinner for seventy five guests at the Haywood hotel after the triumph.
