Boy Burned to Death in Cedar Rapids Fire
In Cedar Rapids on July 12 Wille Gardner, 14, died after a fire destroyed his parents’ house and most contents. Awakened by a burning lamp at about eight, he fought the flames until the fire department arrived, but the boy’s body was severely burned and he passed away at eleven.
