Des Moines Jan. 14 The constitutional amendment federation which held annual convention at the First Baptist church will submit to the general assembly a petition with 56 006 signatures for constitutional prohibition The federation includes the WoTL Us Anti-Saloon and Party Prohibition groups reporting 14 000 130 000 and 10 060 names respectively Independent county petitions also seek resubmission to voters The exact date of presentation will be decided by a committee The motion by Judge J A Harvey for a separate amendment organization was debated but tabled The Rev Sam Small Georgia evangelist spoke on temperance growth and rural saloon removal through church and schoolhouses in Tennessee

York Pa January 14 farmer Harry Keener confessed to a death on his farm last July. A former employee Lorenza Towser testified he killed a stranger who threatened him, then buried parts of the body in an orchard and tried to burn remains. Police plan to unearth the remains under Keener’s direction.
