Daniel W. Snyder, Civil War veteran and longtime Waterloo contractor, died at home 209 Franklin street after pneumonia and complications. Born March 81, 1842 in Pennsylvania, he served in the Nineteenth Indiana Infantry and fought at multiple battles before settling in Waterloo in 1867 with Elizabeth Whipker. Survived by wife, five children, two brothers, two brothers-in-law. funeral Thursday 2 PM at home with Rev. H. G. Beeman officiating. interment Fairview Cemetery.
