Henry Gerhart Reilled a Waverly Democrat met a shock death Thursday evening at Park River North Dakota while three Great Northern railway workers rode on a steam shovel train’s pilot in a gravel pit. A switch engine misjudged and the water tank toppled, crushing all three men instantly. Reilled, 24, lived with parents Mr and Mrs Philip Gerhardt of Minneapolis. Funeral held there Saturday. remains sent to Waverly for burial. Carl Beith and John Dawson relatives accompanied by siblings and in laws. Rev Werrauch led brief service at Beith home.

Chicago Aug. 15. More than one third of the space for the World's Pure Food Show at the Coliseum in Chicago from Nov. 19 to 25 has been contracted, with Thos T Hoyne stating this. The event will feature food wine and whiskey interests and a tests commission including Dr Harvey W Wiley and state and city health officials. The California Wine association will ship hundreds of grape varieties for decorative use. Booths will be uniform in design with a 15 foot wide aisle around the building. Hannah White, daughter of Anthony Baker early Waterloo founder, died July 28 1907 in Applegate California at age sixty nine. Born in Canada she moved to Waterloo as a child, later lived in Kimball South Dakota and soon after to California with her youngest daughter Mary Rushton. Survived by five daughters and two sons, she was a longtime Methodist Episcopal Church member and left many friends at her new home. Funeral drew large attendance with abundant floral tributes.

Smith 17 and Rose Smith 15, custody sought with separation decree. Trustees for St Marys Catholic Church sue Charles A. Robinson Flora Turner and Roy A Pegarde to quiet title to lot nine block 30 East Waterloo.
