Yetter and Waters announce a new Waterloo dry goods store to open by August 1 in a white brick building facing Bridge Street. The 24000 square foot two floor facility will showcase women’s wear, carpets, draperies, and Indian ready-to-wear, with enlarged departments and improved display space.

On April 21 at 8 pm in Independence the marriage of Leta Brooks and Wilson Braden will be solemnized at the bride’s father's home. Braden, formerly with Wilson in Waterloo, now farms near Independence and plans to establish a household there. Helen Jones of Mating and Drake of Waterloo were married Saturday evening at Rev. Frank Cole's residence, with Mrs. Drake visiting Mrs. W. B. Thayer on Commercial Street.

J M Dunlap of Nashua passes away
J M Dunlap a longtime Nashua area resident and prominent strawberry grower in northeast Iowa died at his home near town Saturday evening. Born September 1 1828 in Maine he was 1 years shy of 87. Survived by seven children the funeral will be held at Republic church Tuesday afternoon.
