Outlook for tax reduction contested by Green
Rep Green of Iowa said the outlook for a tax cut next session is unfavourable. He predicts little change to the tax law, but supports an excess profits tax and argues current corporate taxation enables tax avoidance. He cited Henry Ford’s untaxed indirect gains and urged inheritance, securities, and gift taxes to curb avoidance.
