Year’s Chase Ends in Arrest of Robbery Suspect
In St Louis the year long pursuit of a $320000 New Westminster bank robbery ended with the arrest of J C Adams also known as Walter Stacey and identified in Chicago as one of two men who beat a Chicago detective. His supposed wife Jeannette Little alias Mrs Stacey was captured after a lengthy surveillance. Detectives say the pair used crutches and a deaf mute letter as ruses to gain entry to banks. A key arrest, the wife’s, helped locate Adams who is believed to be George West, deputy leader of the gang. Interviews with the prisoner were denied.
