Petition to place Cook on ballot for county attorney

A circulating petition seeks signatures to make W A Cook an Independent nominee for county attorney in November. If enough signatures are gathered and Cook runs, he would oppose Republican Frank W Edwards, the party nominee chosen at the July county convention. Edwards led the June primary with Burr Crowne second and Cook third. Democrats offered no candidate. Cook, now in his first term, would face Edwards if the petition succeeds.
