Resolutions push appointive Iowa school head
The Iowa State Teachers association resolutions committee favors appointing the superintendent of public instruction by the state board of education to remove partisan politics from the office. Other resolutions urge farmer education, child labor opposition, retirement for aged teachers, joint county institutes, minimum wage law, strict law enforcement, illiteracy instruction, a special education building at the state lake, and qualification standards for the superintendent.
