Street cleaner deal put off until spring
The Waterloo city council, after two hours of debate and flirting with two bids, voted four to two to defer the purchase of a street cleaning machine until early spring 1923. The plan to buy from Elgin or Austin-Western was rejected as unneeded before freezing weather, and a survey of 30 day costs was ordered. Also announced was Warren Brown and Mrs Brown’s motor trip to Sharon Connecticut, aiming to return December 1.
