Gravel Expansion in Black Hawk County This Season

Black Hawk County plans 18 miles of gravel surfacing this season per County Engineer W D Johnston. About 1 000 yards of gravel will improve Dunkank road, 623 miles, half graveled. The county graded and graveled 1.5 miles on the Cedar and three miles on the short line southeast of La Porte City to connect with Benton county gravel. West Cedar Falls gravel came from a river bar at Rotary Isle. 2 140 yards were spread by county laborers at 10 cents per cubic yard.
