Judges set new divorce mark in day
Black Hawk county district court granted a record 23 divorces in one day. Judges H B Boies and Relph W Hasner issued decrees, mainly on default, with 18 wives filing as complainants and five men granted separations. Names include Gertrude M. Clouse, Eva Uhlenberg, Perry Deatherage, Lucile Corrado, Mary Warden, H Banks, Lola Lindell, Jessie Williams, Mildred Duke, Blanche Enright, Ada Randall, Florence Mehl, Roy Brookins, Anna Phelps, Mary G. Blackmer, Clark Thurston and others.
