Three Workers Involved In 432 Counts Of Conspiracy
Clinton Sept 16 A total of 432 charges involving more than 54000 have been filed against Arthur Reid former signal maintainer of the Chicago and North Western railway Harold Hurt and Oliver Setults all in Boone jail over failed 10000 bonds. The men face conspiracy charges as the grand jury investigates. Reid allegedly received half the money with Hurt and Setults each getting a quarter. Reid is said to have led a double life maintaining a Omaha home with a woman companion while his wife and three children stayed in Boone. The Omaha property may be taken by the company as prosecutions proceed. Reid reportedly attempted suicide after the charges surfaced. Special agents say the thefts may include electrical equipment and span years of payroll fraud.
