Iowa Supreme Court to Convene September 22
The Iowa Supreme Court will meet September 22 to hear cases from districts one two three six during the first week and four twenty one and five the week of September 29. Appeals for rehearing will be heard in September. Geo W Kendall of Pottawattamie County was convicted of driving while intoxicated and sentenced to one year in prison, later reduced to 200 days or two hundred dollars in fines. His attorneys contest the intoxication evidence and argue the sentence is harsh given his wife’s illness and his job as a tread switchman.
