Spontaneous combustion of clover hay in a barn on the Oscar Perrin farm near Greens Ta caused a blaze that destroyed the barn machine shed cattle barn two hen houses and a large granary with contents except animals. Insurance covers buildings and machinery owned by Perrin and his tenant H H Miller. Miller’s policy excludes loss of a new tractor and harvester thresher. In Greenville Ohio on September 13 Sheriff Bert Wagner disclosed Mrs. Barney Vondehauer aged 55 confessed to murdering her unmarried daughter Anne Vondehauer's newborn.
