County Tax Save Through Insane County Home Move
Taxpayers could save about 8000 to 9000 dollars annually by vetoing a tax to fund an addition to the county home for incurable insane care at Independence. E A McCoy outlined potential county farm care for sixty patients, with costs under 36 per month, plus labor income, and a 0.5 mill levy could raise over 28000 for the project. The plan also addresses rooms for aging residents and their spouses to avoid placing couples in separate rented city homes.
