Rev E A Dalby is expelled by Free Methodist church
Des Moines reports that Rev E A Dalby was withdrawn from the Iowa conference for alleged criminal immoral conduct. A written confession was made part of the records, with the parchment to be surrendered and the minister severely censured. The charges relate to conduct while pastor at Newton in 1910. Dalby, a prominent preacher, has since worked in real estate at New Sharon.

Rev. E. A. Valiant of First Baptist Waterloo conducted baptismal services at the Little Wapple river in Fairbank Ia. A large crowd attended the 3 pm ceremonies and three candidates were baptized. Valiant spoke at the Baptist church in the evening to a large audience. assistants included Mr and Mrs George Pett Mrs Valiant and Miss Barbara Beck of Waterloo who traveled by Mr Pett's auto.

Local enthusiasts form an amateur football team with players from high school and college backgrounds. The first game is set for Sunday September 24 at Red Cedar park if park arrangements are met, with potential games against Dubuque, Marshalltown, and Mason City. Roy Gilley is manager and John Joyce captain. The team plans coordinated dressing and strong practices on Sundays at I. C. grounds and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Franklin and Eighth streets.

Big Pay Checks On Keokuk Dam
Keokuk Ia Sept 11 Saturday marked the largest pay day for the Mississippi River Power company since January 1910 as pier No 52 on the finois division and draft tube No 8 on the power house were completed. Workers on both divisions were paid and the payout nears 80 000 dollars, not counting salaried staff. The current workforce is the largest yet and will not grow much until the project is finished in July 1913.
