Patent Your Farm Advice of Wallace To Iowa's Farmers

Secretary Wallace urges Iowa farmers to patent their farm names and establish federal trademarks. He notes the Hawkeys farm name trademark registered by Ledru C. Willits as the first Iowa stockman to receive a U. S. trademark for a farm. A farm trademark protects interstate sales and adds property value, with federal registration offering broader protection than state registrations. A brief sales note advertises a classified sale in the Courier.
