Mason Roadster From Waterloo Factory Still Roars On
Capt. Lew Armstrong of the central fire station owns a rare Mason 1014 roadster built by the Maytag-Mason Motor Co in Waterloo. A four cylinder 40 horsepower car, it features a Buda engine, solid brass lamps, and a rose red finish. Armstrong, the third owner, estimates over 50 000 miles. the car still runs with a 28 000 mile odometer long broken.
