New Headlight Law in Effect at Iowa State Fair Booth

Des Moines reports the state highway commission explains the headlight law at the Iowa State Fair booth. The commission clarifies it enforces the law, not writes it, and assists with passively distributing information and testing lens approvals. Car owners may adjust their own headlights without receipts or certificates and no fee to comply. If a dealer charges, it is their risk. Receipts do not grant immunity, and penalties apply regardless of paid fees.
