An 86 Year Old College Man Never Used Eyeglasses
Prof O F Lumry aged 86 is visiting Kingon W R Lumry of 627 Second Street West. A former Wheaton College professor of ancient languages he says he has never worn glasses and credits eye care and a habit of rubbing the eyes from outer to inner corners to help preserve sight. He notes he began seeing floaters many years ago but his vision remained pain free and functional. He recalls Salmon P Chase’s tip and believes letting well alone may protect sight.
