Cornerstone laid for Y W C A building in Waterloo
Over 500 people attended the cornerstone laying for the new Y W C A at Park avenue and Lafayette street in Waterloo. May or Gnagy and local ministers spoke as Miss Head of the national Y W C A addressed the crowd. The ceremony included messages from civic leaders, a Bible placement, and a history of the organization dating to 1906.

Four Day Cookery School Sessions At Waterloo
The Courter cookie school hosts a four day cookery course at Waterloo theatre from two to four. Women may attend to gain expert advice on cookery matters and kitchen management. The program covers from desserts and salads to breakfast and luncheon dishes with seasonal menu planning and nutrition. Instructor Ming Mary Kt. Schumacher leads talks on diets and food values.
