Paper Profits Ignored In Bank Discount Case
Attorney for W R Jameson argues that large discounts on loans by EH Reimers were paper profits enticing Reimers to boost figures at Morrison Bank. Testimony shows discounts ranging from 16 to 19 percent, suggesting profits could exceed bank capital of 10 000 on loans of 50 000. Reimers denies improper mergings but cites documentary evidence supporting high percent figures. The text also contains a Waterloo street grading notice and an amended police chief salary ordinance from 1913.
