Missionary and club gatherings dominate La Porte City notes
In La Porte City several groups held meetings this week. The Evangelical Missionary Society met at Mrs L A Ritters home with devotions led by Mrs WH Nam Anton and a walking rehearsal of the Brownsville Missionary Meeting. The Presbyterian Missionary Society discussed Alaska and India with vocal soloist Ailis Elsie Smith. Home Guards elected officers with Marle Wilder as president and Margaret Ballheim presenting the leaflet. Officers and hostesses served refreshments at each event.
