James Henry Porcupile, a St. Clair veteran who enlisted at nineteen and marched with Sherman, died Sunday at his home in Waterloo. Born Oct 19 1844 in Carl County he moved to Iowa in 1856 and later worked 37 years in plumbing and steamfitting in Parkerburg before retiring to Waterloo. He married Carrie Striker in 1868. no children survived. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Kearns Funeral Home with Rev. W M Lemen officiating. burial will be in Parkersburg.
