Boundary road joint project approved by county boards
A concurrent resolution to place three miles of county boundary road from Hicks to primary 80 into joint Grundy and Black Hawk maintenance passed 10 to 3. Grundy voters supported it. Black Hawk members mostly backed, with opposition citing unacted petitions to include more local roads. A 239-name protest file argued other county needs and called the deal a bargain for Grundy to build half the road at 30 cents on the dollar.
