War, faith, and evangelism at Iowa synod meeting
The Presbyterian synod in Cedar Falls heard Dr. Stanley White urge a deeper, rooted Christianity amid war, urging Christians to evangelize and to confess sin. Rev George Mohy pressed evangelism while Dr Coffman backed gospel teams. Women’s Society elected state officers and debated college consolidation, noting Lenox College’s property value and the session’s conclusions.
