Waiting Station Limitations Point To Public Rights
Judge Chan Fransier instructed in Christiansen vs. Sin ois Central Railway that a depot waiting room is not a public space for all who wait for trains. Plaintiffs may be ejected if not entering as a passenger, with lawful force, regardless of intoxication, and damages are limited to the claimed injuries. The plaintiff sought 1000 dollars for pain and shame from an alleged rough ejection at the Wiennis Central depot on February 4, 1911.
