Time Needed For Board Program Schilling Says

Des Moines October 17 William F Schilling federal farm board member praised the agricultural marketing act. He urged farmers to study the act and cooperate locally regionally and nationally to market commodities effectively while noting the need for gradual improvements and avoiding bickering over responsibility. He described the board as guiding and funding orderly marketing rather than delivering prosperity. He warned against destructive competition among cooperatives and stressed a home base for cooperative start ups leading to regional and national marketing structures.
