City in Brief Notes Local Happenings and Visits
A busy City in Brief item lists visits and travels of residents across Davenport, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and other locales. It notes Mrs F W Chapman sending a bouquet to Secretary Bryan, Dempster family arrivals from Tyndall South Dakota, and various social calls, weddings, and deaths. A garbage wagon collision at Elm and Lafayette is mentioned along with World Series attendance by Harold Rugg and relatives touring New York Philadelphia bars.
