Jury Disagrees in First Liquor Case in District Court
After 18 hours of deliberation the jury could not reach a verdict in State v Mosher charged with bootlegging. Judge Wood discharged the panel. Mosher will await a January retrial as jurors had a 10 to 2 vote for conviction and a new trial this term was deemed impossible. Defense argued about undercover operative Hickman while Mosher denied knowing him or selling liquor. Wagner praised Hickman for successful undercover work amid few state witnesses.
