Waterloo Airport Purchase Vote Could Rise Next Spring
Waterloo officials anticipate a municipal election in March to decide whether the city should buy Waterloo Airport. At a stockholders meeting last night the airport's officers and directors were reelected, and a publicity committee was named to promote the issue. The airport has been self sustaining under lease to Mid-West Airways, Inc. and stockholders argue it would be a solid city asset if acquired with cost plus six percent interest.

In Morgan Minnesota citizens honor William A. Tauer who died June 10 1927 while rescuing fishermen on Mille Lacs. A four foot monument rises at Garrison on the lake's western shore near routes 18 and 35 to remember the resort operator who saved others despite warnings. He left a widow and child, with his mother and four brothers in Morgan.
