Shores Awarded Coal Contract For City Buildings

Resignation of Mrs Brainard Ends Long Waterloo Service
Announcement today states Mrs Cynthia T Brainard, longtime Waterloo librarian and book critic, has resigned after thirty years in library work. Resolutions praising her faithful service were passed by the library association board. She began in Waterloo west, later led the west side building, and after consolidation seven years ago served as assistant librarian with continued oversight. Her departure prompts much regret among friends in Waterloo east and west.

Waterloo Ordinance Levying Falls Avenue Bridge Tax 1915
Waterloo Iowa city council passes Ordinance 786 to levy an annual bridge tax from all taxable property except city county state or United States to pay Falls avenue bridge bonds and interest. Tax rates seven tenths of one mill in 1914 and four tenths each year through 1932. Ordinance takes effect after passage approval and publication. Mayor R C Thompson.
