Acrobatic thief sought in Rose Diamond theft at Chantilly
Chantilly France October 18 police hunt a band of acrobatic burglars after the robbery of the Duc d Aumale chateau. The rose diamond valued over 2 million dollars and other jewels were stolen. a suspect released from prison 18 months ago is tied to a gang. Detectives examined fingerprints from the gem room and traced movement by car to Calais. The pink rose diamond may be hard to sell but the thieves left behind other loot.
