Park Board Must Pay for Attorney
Cedar Falls park commissioners are not municipal officers and a city solicitor does not render legal services to the board without compensation. In a suit by W. H. Merner for $284.09, Judge Courtright sustains that the park board is a quasi-public corporation and not an agent of city government, so the solicitor’s duties do not extend to the board and its legal costs must be borne separately.
