East High Music Dept Plans Busy Year With New Instruments
East High music department outlines a bustling year with three orchestras and two bands. Fourteen new instruments including five tenor violins and an English horn were added to the senior orchestra, whose ensemble last year won the state contest at Iowa City. The group will practice Mozart Allegro and Ethiopian Dance from Sylvia for the upcoming contests toward a possible national meet in Louisville or another central city.
