Ames Iowa October 8 Special With the prospect that seed corn will be in the worst condition this fall since 1917 farm crops experts at Iowa State colleges urge Iowa farmers to save more than the usual amount of corn for seed. Even with normal fall conditions good seed corn will not be plentiful next spring and an early cold snap would ruin prospects on many farms. Much Iowa corn is still immature and the ears near maturity contain excess moisture. In many fields many ears are mold on the stalk.
