East High course opens with Chicago Operatic trio
East High announces the 1923-24 year opening concert tomorrow featuring Irene Pavloska Forrest Lamont and Virginio Laszari of the Chicago Operatic trio. Isaac Von Grove will play piano as the program highlights arias from Madama Butterfly Don Juan Tosca and Carmen along with a Cavalleria Rusticana trio and a Faust duet. Tickets remain for sale at East High offices with the first number at 8 PM.

County High School Boys Organize for YMCA Activity
Seven schools were represented at a meeting yesterday by county high school boys. A Hi-V organization was formed with Francis Hearst of Cedar Walls as president, George Johnson of Hudson as secretary, and Spencer Miller of Orange Township as treasurer. Five clubs named vice presidents, and 26 boys attended.

Oscar H Mills Dies at Tama Pioneer Lawyer
Oscar H Mills, Tama County’s oldest practicing attorney and early settler, died at his Tama home after months of poor health. Arriving in 1868, he began law in Marion and practiced with firms including Hibbard Mills Harmon Mills Mills Guernsey before long sole practice. Survived by widow, three sons and a daughter. he was past 78 and active until recent months.
