Legislators Draft Highway Bond Bill for Vote

Survived by her husband a sister Mrs Claude Pettit Osage Iowa and a brother Frank Milwaukee Funeral services at 11 tomorrow from Rosehill chapel Chicago. Mrs Burton and Mrs Pettit were summoned by telegram but did not reach the bedside.

Springfield Illinois October 5 Charlie Birger a dethroned southern Illinois gang leader under sentence to die October 15 for the murder of Joe Adams mayor of West City today filed his petition for a writ of error and superseders for reversal of the death verdict with the clerk of the state supreme court. Bootlegging charge bound over for grand jury in Corey's case
Jack Corey part owner of a cafe in the Forum building was bound over to await grand jury action on a charge of illegal transportation of intoxicating liquor. A police search found 10 gallons of alcohol hidden under watermelons. Witnesses identified Corey as the driver and as the man who exited the car near the Forum drug store. Corey was released on $700 bond.
