Des Moines October 5 E P Harrison state representative from Pottawattamie county in a recent issue of his Home Farmer suggested Senator Ed Smith of Madison county as a candidate for lieutenant governor. A second bid is underway by editor Don L Berry of the Indianola Record who backs Smith though Berry does not fully agree with him. Only Avowed candidate so far is Senator Price of Monroe county, with expectant others likely to enter. Smith, known for blunt tax stance and opposition to hard surfaced roads, may receive encouragement if he finds an occasion to announce.
