United Presbyterian Synod elects treasurer at Iowa convention
Ta., Oct. 6—Weeta Hoffman, Ta., elected treasurer of the United Presbyterian Synod of Iowa on the convention’s second day. He succeeds Dr. William Murchie, who has moved to Wichita, Kan. Pledges for missions total 21,172 with 14,284 paid. Cedar Rapids presbytery leads in payment at 104 percent. An educational institute plan and evangelistic meetings were outlined for the coming year.
