Swiss Breeders Tour Home At Annual Banquet
The Brown Swiss Breeders Association of America held its annual banquet with over 100 members in the Hotel Russell-Lamson grill room. A. Be, Bower, and Rushton spoke on Swiss dairy practices, noting Lucerne as the center and describing feeding, breeding, and the move toward dairy-type cattle. The talk highlighted heavy grass, color uniformity, and limited machinery in Swiss farming along with calf care and mountain-migration patterns of breeders and cattle workers.
