Donald Ames, 10, son of Mr and Mrs Ames of 1142 Wallgate Avenue, was crushed beneath the entrance gate of the Dairy Cattle Congress grounds near Whitney and Sans Souci roads yesterday just before 2 PM. The wind toppled the heavy sign above the gate as workers warned by Campbell and others tried to escape. his sister Bernice, 12, watched in horror. Police, Mayor, Sheriff and the coroner attended. an inquest is planned for next week.

In a county wide raid by state agents Saturday, quantities of alcoholic liquors were taken from permit holding drug stores in Greene Allison Dumont Parkersburg New Hartford and Clarksville. The raid directed by J B Hammond connected with the attorney general's office aimed to secure evidence of law violation by local druggists.
