Park Commission discusses plan for Cortlandt Riverview and Byrnes Park improvements
The Park Commission held an informal meeting naming John C. Hartman president after the death of Lewis Miller. A survey of finances will guide next year’s projects including improved playgrounds and refurbished pin apparatus. Trees in Cortlandt and Riverview parks may be removed, boundaries marked, and underbrush cleared. Byrnes Park work proceeds with shrub trimming and selective removal and transplanting to the new addition under the landscape plan. A few men from the Waterloo Relief and Unemployment commission will assist.
