Brown wins two straight falls in local wrestling match
Carl Brown defeated Edwin Baldwin of Coe College in Grundy Center last evening. Brown won two straight falls in eleven minutes with a scissors on the arm and ankle break, then a second fall in three minutes with a scissors on the arm and half nelson. Baldwin weighed 165 pounds. Brown trains over a month and will train for a December 8 bout with Walter Willer of St Paul.

Illinois Suffrage Measure Upheld in Local Elections
Judge William M. Schuwerk of Randolph county court upheld women's right to vote in Illinois for charter offices and local option questions under the June law.
