Eastern Star Banquet Highlights Cedar Rapids Visit
Last evening the Waterloo chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star hosted a visit by Eminent Sir Joe B. Miller from Cedar Rapids with members from Cedar Rapids Cedar Falls Waverly and Hudson commanderies. An inspection praised the local organization and 125 members and visitors attended a banquet. Over 200 guests were served at the banquet preceding the annual past matrons and patrons meeting at Waterloo chapter. The chapter opened at Spoi with past matrons and patrons Hing all offices. Mrs Matt Parrott, matron 20 years ago, returned to the matron's chair. Two candidates were initiated the Sedgwick lecture was given and several illustrated songs were sung.
