Vinton Banks to Merge on Dec 1
Farmers National and Vinton Savings will unite under a new federal charter as Farmers National Bank of Vinton. The merger creates a bank with about 1.5 million dollars in deposits, capital stock of 75000, and occupies the old Farmers National buildings in Vinton Iowa. A. H. Ellis presides over the new institution.
